Elderly man dies in Noida after being hit by Audi, moment captured on CCTV
An elderly man died in Noida's Sector 24 area on Sunday after being hit by a speeding Audi. A case has been registered by the police against the driver in connection with the matter.

An elderly man died in Noida in the early hours of Sunday after being hit by a speeding Audi.
According to the police, the incident happened at 6.30 am near Kanchenjunga Apartment in Noida's Sector 24 area when the man, Janak Dev Shah was crossing the road.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed Shah crossing the road when suddenly the Audi came from the front and hit him. Due to the impact, Shah flung several feet in the air before landing on the ground.

Upon receiving the alert, a team from the city's Sector 24 police station reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
A case has been registered against the driver of the Audi under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after the incident, an officer said while speaking to the media.
"On May 26, at around 6.30 am, Janak Dev Shah, a resident of Gijhoud village near Primary School, Sector 53, Gautam Buddha Nagar, was hit by an unknown white car driven at high speed in the Sector 24 police station area. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The body has been taken into custody by Sector 24 police and a postmortem has been conducted. An FIR has been registered based on a complaint. CCTV footage is being checked, and further necessary action is being taken," an official of the Noida Police said.
The incident happened amid an outcry over the Pune crash case, where a minor is accused of ramming his speeding Porsche into a two-wheeler and killing two people.
