Kashmir sizzles as Ganderbal records hottest day of season at 34.8 degree Celsius - Greater Kashmir

Ganderbal, May 26: The mercury soared to 34.8°C in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, marking the season’s hottest day in the Kashmir valley during the month of May.

A meteorological department official told Kashmir Scroll that the maximum temperature of 34.8°C was recorded in Ganderbal district, followed by Qazigund at 32.6°C.

Pertinently, the Kashmir valley, including some parts of Jammu, is simmering as the heat wave has intensified across Jammu and Kashmir, and the weatherman here has predicted more hot and dry weather conditions for the next one week.
