May 25 (UPI) -- Police in the Netherlands on Saturday released Nicki Minaj from custody after arresting the rapper over an incident with her luggage.

The US rapper was detained at Amsterdam Schiphol airport for allegedly carrying "soft drugs." Fans were outraged as her performance in Manchester was canceled.

The singer posted a video on social media platform X in which she seemed to be told by a Schiphol employee that police wanted to "search all her luggage".

The American rapper said she was held by police on allegations of possession of "soft drugs".
